No such thing in PoP. Nodes can move from regular to registry (those that earn rewards). We aim to achieve decentralisation and give all nodes within the node registry have an equal chance to validate the blocks.
So the only ones who are "benefited" are the ones who buy the nodes during the sale since their account will be in the genesis block, which allowes them to be amongst the first to create new blocks and have the best opportunity to collects lots of coins.
