ERC20 is just a protocol standard as an implementation of a smart contract (in Ethereum usually). If a smart application mimics it, then you have the same result. Whatever is respected at the protocol level can be done. So, to reply to your question, any functionality implemented in a smart contract can be replicated in the future version of ZooBC.
